Brawl gets a 10 and NMH gets a 8…. I’m loving this.
I still can’t believe Brawl got a 10, mostly because Chris Slate said he had a hard time finding anything wrong with the game. I can find a few things wrong with it (prepare for spoilers):
- 3 Star Fox fighter clones
- Sonic has no impact on the story in SSE (You can tell he was just thrown in.)
- Mewtwo was taken out (Well, I guess parts of his Melee set got passed on to other fighters, except for his Disable attack.)
- Ganon’s sword does absolutely nothing (Really, they couldn’t have at least given him a basic sword attack? He feels like he was just ported over to Brawl and given a Final Smash.)
There’s the few things I see wrong with it.
Wow! Pheonix got an award! I’m surprised. Also, none of the things you said GSYGO could technically considered bad. Clones were never deemed bad for a game, because they actually aren’t clones perfectly. Obviously looks are different, but so are attack ratios as Sakurai explained for Ness. They’re tactical which makes some players happy. I do see your point on Sonic, but it’s a thing I can forgive, and you can’t dock points for leaving things out for that is the designer’s decision due to our ranting. Mewtwo isn’t in because we didn’t ask for him as much as we did others and Ganon’s sword was given no emphasis. So personally, I think Brawl deserves a 10. End’o’story. P.S. Most Veterans were ported
It’s about time PW gets an award. Honestly, I think it fits the "Underrated Game Of The Century" award.
