Not surprisingly, 7 out of the 10 games are FPSs.
I don’t get it! What is up with Americans and their addiction to FPS games? And all the FPS games on this list besides Portal follow the same rules! I’m telling you, the average American has poor taste in video games. That’s a shame, too, Mario Galaxy deserves a higher rank.
All I can say is. HALO 3 is NOT on the list!? That’s going to anger some people, and John Woo’s Stranglehold? Why is that on there?

Still, Maxim > Spike. Metroid Prime 3 is on there! =D
:\ Stranglehold, Lost Planet, The Darkness Wth? GH3(it’s good but number 2 no way) LP is good but no where near a top 10 game of the year. Where are Assassin’s Creed, Mass Effect, Crysis, Halo 3, Uncharted, and Warhawk >:(. I have to give props for them putting CoD4 and the Orange Box above Bioshock though .:D
What?! Ok, Lost Planet and Stranglehold is on there, but Halo 3 isn’t? And how the *beep* is The Darkness on a higher level than Metroid Prime 3: Corruption?
