GameStop Moves Up to S.& P. 500

While GameStop might only be the self-proclaimed “World’s Largest Video Game Retailer”, they can now back it up with their recent entry to the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index.

“The broadening landscape of consumers eager to visit our stores and interact with our knowledgeable sales associates has been very advantageous for GameStop,” -David W. Carlson, GameStop chief financial officer

Even with the rising popularity of online shopping, GameStop has proven that retail stores are still a significant source for consumers to purchase video games, systems, and accessories.
