Color Blind Gaming: A Look into those Eyes

April 15th, 2008

During the time NSider News was down I was flooded with awesome reads, this just many of them.

The Article

Small Note-

“There are different types, and levels of color blindness. The pictures aren’t helpful.”

It’s mainly describes how many game developers have ignored color blind gamers. And while me personally being the curious person I am I couldn’t help but think, “How is a game in those eyes?”. Well that was answered in the following pics.

Left: How you would see it

Right: How someone color blind would see it.

It’s sorta makes you be happy for what you have and wish that color blind gamers had that ability to see how developers meant for a world to look like. I really do hope you read the whole article.

Special Thanks: Poison Mushroom Podcast/ NSider2 Podcast- Thanks for showing my the article.

Wow, that would suck. Why was news down?

There are different types, and levels of color blindness. The pictures aren’t helpful.

Never knew that Nox… then again I sucked any type of guessing game with disorders of any kind.

The original article specified that they are for red-green colorblindness, which it also says is the most common form of colorblindness. The pictures are helpful if you actually read the article.

    Nox Says:

Sorry, I assumed the summary would cover that.

    CKcheeseboy Says:

Yeah, that would have been good to include, because I wondered what kind of colorblindness they represented too at first. The article is a good read, though.

I’ll put that in. Thanks for the input folks… Speaking of which Avan hasn’t been on. Come back tommorow for a massive amount of new Articles. (Sadly most of them by me)
